PREVIEW SIZE SPEED INTERNET ACCESS

The size of the access speed (transfer) of data is one criterion for determining or sign up for one ISP.
What is ISP? ISP (Internet Service Provider) is a company that offers services for Internet-related services. To access the Internet, simply contact us via computer and modem, then the ISP will take care of the details needed to connect to the Internet, including the cost of such connections.
Units used for data transfer speed is the bits per seconds (bps). Various measures of the speed of Internet access may be reviewed based on the following things:

1. Channel used
       a. dial Up
Dial up is the easiest way we use our computers to connect to the internet using the phone line. Using dial-up access speed can reach
to 56 kbps. Meanwhile, if dial-up supported by data compression technology Power Surf Dial Up, the speed bias reaches 5 times the usual speed.
Plus: the network is very broadMinuses: to be able to access it, we must have a telephone connection
b. GPRS NetworkGPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is used in mobile phone so that it can communicate data and voice through the medium of radio waves. Have GPRS data transfer speeds of up to 115 kbps, so much used to now. Requirement to access the computers, mobile phones (mobile phones) with GPRS, the SIM Card.
c. WiFiWiFi (Wireless Fidelity) is a networking technology that uses cable tnpa very high frequency waves, which reached 2.4 GHz spectrum. We can use it when we are in a region that has a WiFi signal, ie a radius of 100 meters from the access point (hotspot).
d. Cable TV ChannelsThis cable TV network has a data communication path is wide and can be used to send moving pictures and sound. If we use it to access the internet, we will get fast internet access.
e. Wireless BroadbandWireless broadband access speeds have reached 512 kbps at a maximum distance from access point as far as 1 km.

2. Providers that are used
Speed data transfer from computer to computer servers on the internet we highly dependent on the speed of data transfer from the provider that we use. Ranging from 28.3 kbps modem speed, 33.6 kbps or 56 kbps, while the speed of the telephone network in Indonesia ranges from 9.6 kbps to 28.8 kbps.
Bandwidth is the width of the channel through which data simultaneously by the data being transferred. Bandwidth can be likened to a highway that passed by many vehicles (data) simultaneously. More and more vehicles pass, then the slower the vehicle speed. The wider bandwidth is used, the more data that can be transferred.

3. The number of computers on a local network connected to the Internet
Local network connected to the Internet via the communication channel associated on the server computer. Access to the Internet is divided into several paths through a hub to multiple client computers. Throughput on the client computers can be calculated with a simple formula as follows:
Client Throughput (t): 500 bytes / second (per client)Bandwidth to the Internet: n * t * 8
So, if the data channel is expected to have a throughput of 500 bytes / second and there are 20 clients, then the required channel on the client a minimum of 20 * 500 * 8 = 80 Kbps. Considered the 64 kbps channel on each client enough to achieve throughput of 500 bytes / second per client because the calculation is valid if the client is simultaneously transferring data.

4. Tools used
Hardware to build internet connection using a dial up connection is a computer, modem and telephone line. In addition it takes account of the ISP.The data must be known from the ISP are:
Username: eg telkomnet @ instantPassword: eg telecomsPrimary DNS: eg 202.134.0.155Secondary DNS: eg 202.134.2.5Dial-up phone number: 080989999 example
